Terry Redlin Serving Opportunities
We are pleased to announce some serving opportunities that are available at Terry Redlin Elementary School here in Sioux Falls.
We have served the students and staff at Terry Redlin in the past and we are excited to renew this partnership.
Some of the serving opportunities at this time include:
Mentor a Student: This is an opportunity to invest in the life of a student at Terry Redlin elementary. The expectation is that you would meet with the student on a very consistent basis (preferably weekly) to keep a consistent relationship established in this student's life. Training and mentor/mentee pairing is provided through Lutheran Social Services.
Classroom Aid: This is a new and unique opportunity to step into the classroom during the school day to assist particular students who are struggling with their learning process as well as supporting the teachers at Terry Redlin as well. Volunteers do not need to have any extensive experience in the education field, volunteers just need to have a heart for children and patience to assist them through the learning process. If you come from this educational background you are strongly encouraged to sign up.
Staff Encouragement: This serving opportunity comes from a desire that every staff member at Terry Redlin Elementary would receive some form of encouragement and recognition for all that they do to invest in our future generations. Encouragement comes in many forms: Staff appreciation meals are provided by King of Glory volunteers or by catering in the meal (either way the meal is served to the staff by King of Glory Volunteers). Encouragement cards or letters can be sent to Terry Redlin Staff throughout the year. Also whenever there are events going on at the school such as book fairs the church can step in to assist in whatever way best serves the students and staff of Terry Redlin.
Complete the form below if you are interested in serving or in receiving more information.
