Family Ministry Coordinator

This full-time position exists to coordinate all ministries dedicated to the children, youth, and their families at King of Glory. This includes education, discipleship, and care of ages 0 to 5th grade along with supporting youth small group leaders who will be engaging and communicating with middle school and high school youth and their parents.  Directly connected to this is providing encouragement and support to parents as they serve as the spiritual leaders in the home. This position also requires engagement, equipping, and coordination of all volunteers serving in areas of Children’s and Youth Ministry.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate each aspect of Children’s Ministry which includes Wednesday night and Sunday morning programming, kids camps (VBS)  and family events.

2. Coordinates and supports youth small group leaders and youth events/camps.

3. Establish volunteer job descriptions and procedures to implement KOG’s vision and mission. 

4. Implement Family Ministry Team policy decisions regarding Children's and Youth programming and events.

5. Volunteer Management: Identify, train, schedule, and equip volunteers to be successful, have ownership in their role and feel valued as they serve in children and youth ministry.

6. Coordinate and manage childcare for events and small groups or adult events as needed.

7. Work in partnership with staff on church-wide events and ministries as needed.
